Scott Purtell

Scott is a K-RAN consultant who brings significant Human Resource depth to the team, with over 20 years of broad-based generalist experience. Scott is a seasoned Human Resources executive skilled in positioning the human resources function as a strategic business partner and value-adding, cost-controlling operation. His industry experience includes Oil and Petroleum, Food Service, Hi-tech Manufacturing, Real Estate Information Services and Aerospace. He is attuned to building internal customer relationships with management and employees resulting in improved organizational productivity, quality, service, customer satisfaction, and employee relations and morale.

During his career in industry, Scott specialized in the areas of management and leadership development, change management and teambuilding, which he brings into his role with K-RAN. He has developed management assessment/retention/replacement programs, expanded succession planning processes, guided senior management teams through organization redesign and restructuring, and created strategic human resources plans.

Scott has also designed and facilitated numerous programs in leadership, teambuilding and organizational change. He holds a Master’s degree in Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Personnel Management, both from the University of Arizona and is certified in Zenger Miller’s Frontline Leadership, DDI’s Targeted Selection and Effective Intelligence / SmartSkills. Scott is a long-time member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), a former SHRM national committee member, and a former general member and member of the Board of Directors of the National Human Resources Association (NHRA), Orange County chapter. Scott is also a former member of the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD).
